Firstly, let me say that IMHO this is the only case you should have for this tablet. Otherwise spending $500 on the Xperia would be a waste. The main and only aspect of this tablet that demands such a high price tag, is the lightness and thinness. Holding it is a joy that has to be felt to be believed-it actually makes the Ipad 4 feel cumbersome: so putting on ANY other currently available case almost doubles the weight. Why do that? You may as well get any Samsung tablet for at least $100 less.I discovered some side benefits though: It is a lot easier to locate the charging port with this case, since it stands out more. I use the Krusell Sleeve to also protect the tablet when traveling:(Krusell Luna Sleeve for iPad 4, new iPad 3, iPad 2, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, HP TouchPad, Le Pan TC 970, ASUS Transformer TF101 and Other 10-Inch Tablets - Black/Cream (71157))Will it protect the Xperia as well as a full case-no. But there is not too much difference actually, since I own the Poetic slimline case which just adds the magnetic cover. Do not drop the Xperia, or indeed any tablet onto concrete or a hard floor-that is the best protection. In the real world though, stuff happens, and I believe having this case in conjunction with the Krusell sleeve is the best solution.
