Finding batteries for the X__T series thinkpads can be kind of a pain in the rear. There aren't as many options as for the regular X and T series machines, and the design is unique to the tablets alone. I have heard many varied positive and negative stories with aftermarket and OEM batteries. Given that the majority of the batteries sold are not exactly brand new stock, I had no idea what to expect.Well my worries were unfounded.I get a full charge on this battery to what it is rated. Both in Linux and Windows I am getting solid battery life with ACPI utilities confirming what I was experiencing, cells in excellent condition. Even after a few weeks they have been holding up well so I think it is safe to say this is a solid battery.Bought this for my X230t, and it boosted my time unplugged from 1 hour to 4 hours on average with minimal load. Under load I get about 2 hours. I use Linux on my ThinkPad, so I might need to do some extra configuring to get even more life out of it, namely when it comes to power management, but since I don't do a whole lot on my ThinkPad other than web browsing, chat, email, and some note-taking, 4 hours of battery is not bad at all, especially compared to the 1 hour or LESS I was getting. Definitely recommend this, you might get even more life out of it on Windows.Just received it. So I can't speak to the longevity which is the main problem I have with these batteries. But so it's good. Arrived on time undamaged and sealed with a holographic Lenovo sticker. The box had the appropriate bar code with a date of February 15, 2017. The battery itself fit perfectly and immediately stopped the battery notification on my computer. The battery had a date of December 2016. Only time will tel if it disappoints. Fully charged my computer says about 3.5 hours while browsing the Internet without videos playing. So I just got so I just got this battery the only thing that is weird the date on the box it was completely original manufacturer sealed but Mark December 16th of last year but the battery in my system when I plug-in says August of last year not sure what's up with that and that's the only reason I lost the star everything else is brand-new no charge cycles complete capacity rubber feet. The old battery on my X230 tablet had degraded to the point where I was only getting about 40 minutes from it.With the new battery I'm getting about 4.5 to 5 hours on one charge, which is excellent. As far as I can tell it's a genuine Lenovo part. This is the official Lenovo battery so it is the best performing one. Works just like I need it to. The other knock offs require you to flash a custom bios onto them, so if you don't have the technical knowledge just buy this one.Worked as expected for about 1 year and 4 month but now seems to be done. Fully charged to forced system shut down in less than 10 minutes. I feel it should of lasted longer. I don't know if I properly cared for or maintained it or even if any special care and maintenance is necessary. My old stock battery from 2012 was only lasting about ten minutes; down to about 16Wh of the reported factory capacity of 63Wh. This new one has over 63Wh out of a reported capacity of 62Wh. This one will last 4-5 hours now.
