Battery was the right one for this computer. It charged quickly. As I've had it only for a day, it is too soon to know how long it will hold a charge, etc. For now, a positive review.For what it's worth, the battery does indeed appear to be a genuine Lenovo battery. I am using it in an x220t (x220 tablet), and the battery charging status indicator shows that it's charging. I was a little concerned that the picture shown with this product indicated a manufacture date of June 09, 2012 (2012-06-09) - that's a little long for a battery to be sitting on a shelf; however, the battery that arrived today listed a manufacture date of February 19, 2014. So this battery is actually only about 5 months old - pretty good!I will update this post after I've used the battery for a while if it doesn't perform as expected, but so far it looks good!At first I was afraid if this battery is not genuine. It arrived in a box sealed with legitimated-look Lenovo sticker and charged up without any problem in my X220T. Production date was in March 2014, which is quite new. Compared it to my old battery, all prints and product characteristic look the same. Will see if it can hold the charge well.I'm using this battery on a Lenovo X230T and to this day the battery is still at 97% charge capacity, not bad...I was having problems running Windows with the battery since the calibration wasn't working and the Laptop was turning off at 20% battery left.. But I installed Linux and for 6 months so far, the charge capacity has stayed high.This is the real deal and fits/works perfectly It's also a very reasonable value.BE SURE YOU GET THE CORRECT ONE!!! There's more than one model but they don't all fit every ThinkPad.The battery gets 5 stars, this user gets 2 for being a doofus and not looking closely enough at the part number on my ThinkPad.These are great at first, but they deteriorate quickly. On my X230T on a brand new battery lasts usually around 10 hours of use (note taking and text editing with light web browsing). After a couple months it's down to 6 hours. I follow the best practices for batteries with charging and discharging. This is the second battery and it actually did worse than the first one.This arrived within a day, and I really appreciated it since I didn't have a functional battery for my laptop then. It works great and has helped increase my battery life for my laptop.Battery seems to be genuine, but arrived with over 18 months of shelf time and 0% charge. Unfortunately this will probably impact battery life span.Order a battery from Lenovo if you don't want old stock.
