OK, it’s not a laptop. but it sure can act like an Android Laptop. This Tablet/Dock can act like a Laptop and a Tablet. This is about a two year old model and has Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) but I like it better than some of my more current Tablets. Considerably cheaper than most current Tablet/Dock combinations, it performs as well or better than some.It has a very good IPS screen, the Tablet is thin and light, and has downloaded and run almost all the Apps that I have on my other Tablets (Samsung and ASUS Apps will not load). The touch screen is very responsive and 10 point. This device will still run Adobe Flash (version 11.1) Apps that most current devices will not run.The dock has a very usable keyboard (slightly cramped) with its own battery, two full size USB ports and a full size SD card slot. The keyboard has many Android specific keys. When docked, the keyboard battery will charge the Tablet so the Tablet is always fully charged. When docked, you charge the keyboard micro USB port. A blue light will blink when charging and go steady when charged. The same charger can also charge the tablet by itself, if wished. The USB ports will work with flash drives and portable USB hard drives (I use a 1 TB hard drive).Lenovo puts an overlay on the Android launcher, but in a lot of cases, you can choose to use the stock Android or the modified Home and All Apps screens. Installed Apps include the Google suit (gmail, maps, Play Store, etc.), Amazon Kindle, Browser, Chrome Browser, ooVoo, Skype, YouTube, and a lot of “bloatware”. Some of it isn’t too bad. If it really bothers you, you can go into Settings - Apps, find the App, tap on it, and tap “Disable”. You will get a warning. This will not increase your free memory, but will reduce the icon clutter and is reversible. You have over 11GB of free system memory so App storage should never be a problem. It does not do great on speed tests (An tu tu Benchmark=14,789, Quadrant Standard=4,671), but comparing side-by-side with my other tablets, this one keeps up or is faster on loading web pages and games. According to An tu tu the CPU is in the slower range, but the memory and GPU is very fast.It has Bluetooth but does NOT have GPS or a Sim Card slot. The Tablet weighs 1 lb. 4 oz. and the Tablet/Dock weighs 2 lbs. 10 oz. A 38 page User Guide (PDF) is available on the Lenovo Web Site.I found that using a wireless mouse with this is a great combination. You can do almost everything with the mouse that you can do by touch. But there are a few games where a mouse click will not register, you must actually touch the screen. The mouse pointer is too fast for me but it can be adjusted by going to Settings - Language & Input. Scroll down to Mouse/Trackpad - Pointer Speed and adjust the slider. This is a great Tablet/Dock and I recommend it to anyone that does not require the latest Android Operating System. My one gripe is the power switch - you cannot feel it and you have to hold it for 4 seconds to turn the tablet on.As I have done for most of my reviews, I run the App Battery HD to calibrate the Tablet and get battery run times. With this Tablet/Dock combo, it would not calibrate the two of them, so I did the Tablet and adjusted the results for the addition of the Dock battery. Here are the run times:Music Playback = 43 hrs. 33 min.Video Playback = 15 hrs. 30 min.Internet Browsing = 11 hrs. 6 min.Talk Time (VoIP) = 13 hrs. 14 min.
